Advanced Wilderness Survival

The difference between a fatal experience, a rough experience, and a grand adventure is often all about the size of your toolbox. And when it comes to survival toolboxes, knowledge is everything. Expand on the basic skills you learned at our introductory survival course by learning some new and more advanced techniques. All while enjoying the company of students and instructors who are also excited to dive into this awesome skill set that will help you make the leap from beginner survivalist to greater self-sufficiency in the woods.

Class topics will include: Advanced bow-drill with difficult woods and utilization of natural and improvised strings, hand-drill, fire-saw, fire building in inclement weather, map and compass navigation, building survival bows, and basic stone tool creation and use.

 *Youth participants under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult participant. Open to ages 11 and up.

Prerequisite Required– Wilderness Survival Weekend, Wilderness Survival Basics, Wilderness Survival 101, or similar class from another survival school.

Class Cost: $245 per person

*Class Times: Begins 9am on Saturday morning and ends at 5pm on Sunday evening. 

Class Location: Our campus in Bastrop, TX at 137 Woodview Lane

*This class includes an overnight (Saturday night). Students will camp at our campus. Bathrooms with showers are available. If you prefer not to camp Saturday night you may make alternate arrangements. Class will run from 9am-5pm each day. A detailed list of what to bring will be emailed to you after you register and prior to the class.
