Plant Medicine - Salves, Teas & Tinctures

You may not know it, but most of the medicines available to us at local pharmacies are derived from plants! Native people have been using plants for their medicinal qualities for thousands of years. Much of this ancient knowledge is still around and we would like to share a bit of it with you. This class will focus on how to prepare medicinal plants to get the most benefit. Come learn hands-on how to make a few simple herbal preparations. You will make tinctures, brew effective teas, and create medicinal salves! Every student will bring home at least an ounce of tincture and some salve to try out at home. Then enjoy the freedom and self-sufficiency of knowing how to make your own medicines!
