Fire!

At Earth Native fire is one of our favorite things! Fire is amazing, and these days most people don’t seem to know a whole lot about it other than that lighter fluid and newspaper are flammable….

This class will explore all things fire. Kids will learn not just what fire needs to survive but what it needs to thrive!

Participants will learn:

To build a fire from scratch using nothing but what they can gather in the woods

How to make a fire by friction by rubbing sticks together (bowdrill)

Good fire tending practices

Fire safety
